Hello, my name is Zachary Amster

I am now a senior at Queens College, I am a Macaulay’s Honors Student who has been doing research with Dr. Evans since my sophomore year. I am a Chemistry Major, Biology Minor, who is hoping to matriculate into doctoral program in Physical Therapy next summer/fall after graduation. I started in the Evans lab because I had great interest in the research that was being done on supercritical fluids, which was where my research was planned to be until the pandemic. Since the pandemic, I have shifted the focus of my thesis to the study of UV mediated growth of nanoparticles as this study did not require the close contact of the supercritical fluid studies. However, I hope to help the group in the setup of the equipment required to continue the studies in supercritical fluids while completing the research on nanoparticles.
