Samual Hee is a chemistry major who is currently working with Dr. Cherice Evans on the synthesis of MOED derivatives, and with Dr. Yu Chen on the synthesis of di-halogenated compounds with an iodine catalyst. Prior to Queens College, Samual was a member of the Queens College STEM academy program and worked with Dr. Yu Chen in a project titled “The Three Step Synthesis of β-aminoenones”. Samual entered the NYSCEF competition the same year and won second place in the chemistry category.
