News about research progress as reported by high school students in the Evans laboratory from Queens College STEM Academy.
This news page was established in June 2021 and is the modern version of the research blog maintained by the Evans group at the Louisiana State University Center for Advanced Microstructures and Devices. This page allows the high school student participants of the Queens College STEM Academy to post news and pictures documenting their current research failures and successes.
Queens College STEM Research Academy is a two semester program consisting of a pre-college science course (i.e., HMNS 101) and a summer research experience (i.e., HMNS 102). Students who participate in this academy are encouraged to continue their research following the programs completion and to participate in the New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF). Example syllabi for HMNS 101 and 102 can be found on the Courses page, while information and applications on the program is on the STEM Research Academy website.
