Research Learning Level
The learning level associated with each research student is determined by the answers to the following questions:
- Is the student trusted to perform the skills associated with his/her/their project without supervision but with mentor follow-up?
- Can the researcher recognize when something is going wrong with his/her/their project?
- Is the student trusted to perform the skills associated with his/her/their project without supervision and without follow-up?
- If something in the project goes wrong, can the researcher troubleshoot the problem without help (or with minimum help) from the mentor?
- Does the student begin to develop new ideas related to the original project and/or develop new skills to improve the original project without prompting from the mentor?
